Description

Much Needed Refinement for the OEM Shifter

The OEM base bushings on most Hondas and Acuras are made from highly compliant rubber. Thanks to leverage, the small amount of compliance the rubber adds equates to a very noticable "spongy" feeling in the shift knob during shifts. This bushing kit replaces the OEM rubber bushings with rigid 6061-T651 aluminum making for a much more decisive shift, even with a stock shifter. As an added touch, the bushings are coated in a purple Type 2 anodized finished, laser etched, and paired with class 10.9 flat-head mounting bolts.

    AMAZING Improvement !!

    This product blew away my expectations. I coupled this with the Acuity centering spring and short throw adapter. Literally a night and day improvement. Shifts are very solid and highly tactile. And the throws are MUCH shorter. Installation was a breeze. Customer service is impeccable ! I’m a mechanical engineer and I’m extremely impressed !!!

    First off I will say thier customer service is top notch. When I received them I was missing a washer. I contacted them on a SATURDAY via email, and got a response right away apologizing for the inconvenience and for information to send out the missing washer. I got it in a few days and installed it along with the ACUITY Centering Spring. With these two parts and the shifter linkage bushings (I had installed previously), the civics shifter does feel more tight, and direct. The wiggle that is there with the stock parts does not go away completely but it definitely tightens up. I would not recommend to install these base bushings by themselves because taking apart your center console is a pain. So do yourself a favor buy a couple of the acuity parts and install them all at once. The shifter will definitely tighten up and these parts are fairly cheap. Definitely recommend
