Description
Much Needed Refinement for the OEM Shifter
The OEM base bushings on most Hondas and Acuras are made from highly compliant rubber. Thanks to leverage, the small amount of compliance the rubber adds equates to a very noticeable "spongy" feeling in the shift knob during shifts. This bushing kit replaces the OEM rubber bushings with rigid 6061-T651 aluminum making for a much more decisive shift, even with a stock shifter. As an added touch, the bushings are coated in a purple Type 2 anodized finished, laser-etched and paired with class 12.9 flat-head mounting bolts.

My car has 103k miles now and the shifter feel was weak, so I decided to try these out. Didn't expect them to do anything but oh wow they made a huge difference! Shifts feel more crisp, there's less play in the lever and overall the shifter feels "higher quality" now. Only pain was the install, but that has everything to do with the car and nothing to do with the product.
Good quality product, I highly recommend these bushings. Made shifting smoother and less notchy. Combined it with the Acuity boot clip and shifter. Installation guides on the Acuity website made installation a breeze. Also purchased the shift linkage bushings but haven't installed yet.
I was a little worried about installing these because on all the diy videos they tell you to remove the shifter cables and take the shifter assembly out to remove the bushings and install the new ones.I took out the entire center console out and that gave me a lot of room to remove the old ones and install the new ones. Just make sure you have an extension and a size 5 allen socket and key to tighten the Acuity bushings.I removed the center console and changed the bushings in about 30 minutes, but took my time cleaning all the gunk that was down there, vacuuming and taking apart the center console pieces to clean them. So if you don’t do any cleaning you can finish in about 45 minutes to an hour. After putting everything back together I went for adrive and it made a big improvement. The shifter feels more precise now and clicks in gear with ease. (Except for second gear, but I think that’s from the factory.) I’m glad these bushings worked because I was skeptical that such small upgrade would make a big difference. I was starting to think I needed to replace my clutch and was also considering buying a short shifter, but I’m glad these bushings made such an improvement. A few years ago I installed the Acuity shift linkage bushings so now I have the complete setup.
My shifter was feeling a bit loose. Didn't want to pay shipping on Acuitys site. These came as advertised, quick and legit. Definitely recommend.
These little bad boys did their job perfectly. My shifter went from feeling spongey and loose to tight and crisp. I paired these with a short shifter and holy smokes do they change the feel of your car.
