Optional install tools are an affordable way to help to protect your plastic trim panels during removal.
Note that some vehicle trims will require use of one of our 1924 shift boot collars to hold the shift boot up when using an aftermarket knob like our ESCO-T6, ESCO Insulated, or ESCO-Ti designs. Bad news: your OEM bushings suck
Honda intentionally makes their rubber shifter cable bushings very compliant in an effort to give the car a more tame feel. For many drivers, that's ideal. Unfortunately, this disconnects the driver from feeling the transmission during shifts, often leading to missed shifts or slow shifting in racing conditions. A less compliant plastic or metal bushing is the ideal solution, but without a spherical bearing, the bushing will cause the cables to bind and fatigue. That's why ACUITY has designed this kit with a custom acetal and aluminum spherical bushing. Also unlike most bushings on the market, ACUITY's design incorporates elastomer rings to provide the best fit possible with your cables. Shifter Base Bushings
Much Needed Refinement for the OEM Shifter
The OEM base bushings on most Hondas and Acuras are made from highly compliant rubber. Thanks to leverage, the small amount of compliance the rubber adds equates to a very noticeable "spongy" feeling in the shift knob during shifts. This bushing kit replaces the OEM rubber bushings with rigid 6061-T651 aluminum making for a much more decisive shift, even with a stock shifter. As an added touch, the bushings are coated in a purple Type 2 anodized finish, laser etched, and paired with class 10.9 flat-head mounting bolts.

A Simple Mod You'll Enjoy On Every Drive:
If you've ever found the centering action of your 11th Gen Civic or 5th Gen Integra to leave you wanting a sportier feel, this product is the solution. This spring is carefully designed to deliver a more aggressive centering action on your OEM shifter. The larger wire diameter increases centering force by 50% compared to stock and imparts a snappy, tactile feel to the shifter's centering action. In addition to the Shifter Centering Spring itself, each kit is supplied with retaining rings needed for installation and a small packet of premium grease to re-lubricate the shifter after removing the OEM spring.
